An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a leading Engineering Consultancy who provide a flexible approach to all projects ensuring that they consistently meet their client's needs. The candidate will work on thrilling projects across the industry whilst adding to their knowledge and experience in the field. The role includes working with a high degree of independence as well as within a team so communication skills must be excellent. The candidate must have a degree in the relevant field and experience of Site Investigation.

Key Skills and Experience required:
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology, or in the relevant field
- Proven experience of Site Investigation techniques (Phase 1 and Phase 2)
- Experience in a Contaminated Land setting
- Knowledge of Site Health and Safety requirements and regulations
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients as well as exceptional report writing skills
- Experience working in a team environment
- Full and clean UK driving licence
Typical Duties in this role:
- Support the day to day operational site control of site-based Ground Investigation contracts
- Manage high value projects and contribute to the safety, cost control and performance of contracts
- Consult geological maps and aerial photographs to advise on site selection
- Engage with project Stakeholders and offer updates of progress and developments
- Assist in preparation of Health and Safety documentation before and during any site works
- Identify geotechnical hazards and risks and develop innovative solutions to these issues
- Complete high-quality technical reports which display a detailed risk assessment and the key findings from these
