Job Summary:

My client is a leading environmental and engineering consultancy with offices across the UK. They are now looking for a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their expanding team, due to increased workload! Requirements:

You must have 2+ years of UK Geo-Environmental consultancy experience to be suited to this role. Please find below some of the tasks you will be carrying out.

What YOU need:

• BSc in a relevant subject (geography, geology, civil engineering, environmental science).
• Good working knowledge of relevant and up to date British Standards Industry Guidance
• Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and independent thinker with an enthusiastic approach to work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Your Responsibilities:

• Management of ground investigations and logging soils to British standards
• Supervision, reporting and management of geo-environmental assignments.
• Monitoring of gas and groundwater levels and groundwater sampling.
• Liaison with and directing of sub-contractors including drillers, excavator operators and surveyors.
• Dealing with clients to assist in the delivery of projects.
• Writing factual and interpretive reports, risk assessments, remediation strategies and verification reports.
