The Job
This is an opportunity for a STEM graduate to work with us designing low-energy, environmentally-sustainable buildings.
You will integrate environmental strategies and mechanical and electrical systems within buildings. The work involves collaborative design with the most creative architects on a varied range of outstanding buildings.
Our purpose is to deliver positive change to energy and Carbon performance through innovation in m&e system design. We are specialists in this important field with a great potential to address the climate challenge.
What we offer
You will start your training on live projects under the close supervision and guidance of the directors and associates. You will learn about all aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering, environmentally sustainable design and building physics, as well as developing additional skills in analysis, digital modelling and drawing. Then you will see your designs realised by working alongside builders and contractors, and support clients as they move into the finished building.
In addition to interesting work on quality projects, we offer a competitive salary between £28,000-£30,000 and the following benefits:
Learning, development and chartership support
Flexible working arrangements
Private medical cover with dental and optical schemes
5 weeks' paid holiday (in addition to bank holidays)
A company pension scheme with employer contributions
Payment of Professional Subscriptions
Salary sacrifice schemes for childcare vouchers and cycle to work
The studio culture is built around principles of common purpose, diverse projects and innovative design. Our work environment is an informal, open-plan and naturally daylit studio that reflects our design ethos.
What can you offer?
To succeed you will be a natural problem solver with good ideas and a collaborative attitude. You need an eye for detail, excellent communication and a real interest in buildings.
Be prepared to play an important role in a growing practice.
