Civil Infrastructure Design Engineer
Wellingborough
Up to £60kpa
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced CivilInfrastructure Design Engineer to join an ambitious multi-disciplinary practice in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire to work with a variety of clients in the Midlands and the Home Counties.
The successful candidate will join the Civil Engineering team, working alongside company Directors to provide highways, drainage and external works design on a wide range of projects, including both new-build and refurbishment projects for public and private sectors.
The successful candidate will be proactive, having the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team. They must be able to represent the company with confidence and show a commitment to providing the level of care and attention needed to meet the high standards required and establish and nurture relationships with Clients and other members of the business.
The role includes:
Excellent communication skills are essential, and a good level of computer ability in AutoCAD, Ground Modelling, Flow, and WinDes software will be required.
Further skills in Civils 3D, Site 3D, Revit skills and knowledge of Flood Risk Assessment or Transport Planning will also be an advantage.
A high level of project management skills will also be essential when managing your portfolio of varied projects. You will be given encouragement to offer ideas to improve the company and the opportunity to see them through. The company have a flexible working environment where you will manage your own workload.
A determination to succeed and progress is highly important. Our client is a forward-thinking company who embrace using BIM in their designs. - Liaison with clients, interface with project teams, and contract implementation.
- Carrying out detailed design of roads, drainage and external works etc. including S38 and S278 highway schemes and S104 drainage schemes together with preparing technical specifications.
- Mentoring more junior engineers in design and best practice to ensure excellence in the design office.
