Our Client is a world leading Chemical Manufacturer that has a Top Tier COMAH site based in South Merseyside.
They are looking to appoint a permanent Civil and Mechanical Asset Engineer to manage civil projects and co-ordinate the civil infrastructure, pipework inspections and remedial programmes.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities to include:
* Co-ordinate Civil Capital implementation work on site relating to Civil infrastructure:
* Roadways
* Steelwork
* Buildings
* Bunds
* Drains
* Pipework inspections
* Manage the technical interface with subcontract suppliers ensuring adherence to agreed project timelines, costs and compliance with company procedures.
* Manage civil and steelwork inspections and generate resource requirements.
* Pipework inspections, act as the main point of contact to review reports and organise technical studies such as pipework / bellows stress analysis.
* Liaise with plant to set up appropriate safe systems of work, including following onsite systems and procedures (e.g. change control, permit to work).
* Provide technical support to other areas of the business as required.
Education/Experience:
* Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* NEBOSH Qualification.
* Recognised qualification in vessel / pipework inspection.
* Strong Civil Engineering knowledge.
* Strong pipework inspection knowledge.
* Project management training e.g. Price2.
* CMMS knowledge.
* Essential to have experience working in a Manufacturing Maintenance environment.
Benefits:
* Salary - Circa £55,000.
* Entitled to 25 days holiday with an additional service day awarded for 2 full years' service, 4 full years' service and 5 full years' service - A total of 28 days plus bank holidays.
* 38hr working week.
* 8% Pension contribution from employer when employee contributes 6%.
* Cycle to work scheme.
