Geo-environmental Engineer, up to £35,000 + benefits. The Role: We are looking for a Geo-environmental Engineer (or a Geotechnical Engineer) to cover geo-environmental consultancy services principally through the delivery and project management of geotechnical and environmental site investigations and subsequent solutions, in the office and on site, as well as factual and interpretive report writing. We are happy to consider candidates with either a Geotechnical or Geo-environmental / contaminated land background - some experience of both would be great. Due to continued success and expansion, we have an opportunity for Geo-Environmental Engineer in both the Cambridge (CB23) and Leeds (LS1) offices and we are happy to accommodate a mix of office, on-site and home working.

Geo-environmental Engineer(or Geotechnical Engineer), Responsibilities:
* Carry out site assessments for contaminated land and geotechnical projects.
* Assess potential environmental/geotechnical impacts and undertake risk assessments.
* Field supervision of drilling operations.
* Borehole logging using visual inspection.
* Design of groundwater monitoring wells.
* Soil and water sampling to industry and company guidelines.
* Factual and interpretive report writing.
* Delivery of project tasks to defined standards set out at the project outset.
* Develop client relationships and networks at a project level
* Management of projects
* Actively promote health and safety
Geo-Environmental Engineer (or Geotechnical Engineer) , Skills and Experience:
* A science or engineering degree
* 1-3 years' experience in a UK based consultancy (completing geo- environmental investigations including soil and rock logging to British Standards and soil and groundwater sampling)
* A self-motivated and highly organised team player
* Client focused with the ability to build strong client relationships
* Excellent verbal and written communication with strong attention to detail
* Technical understanding of UK legislation in relation to contaminated land
* Sound understanding and ability to clearly convey conceptual site models and risk
* Good understanding of ground investigation techniques
* Valid clean UK driving licence
