Principal / Senior Civil Engineer

Our client provides high quality civil engineering & fisheries consultancy services across the UK, Ireland, SE Asia, and West Africa. We are composed of a team of Civil & Structural Engineers and fisheries biologists engaging with a wider network of specialists across the river environment. Our Engineers are primarily focussed upon the design & construction of fish & eel passes to overcome river obstructions such as dams & weirs to make a positive difference to the environment.

Our client has developed a growing reputation within the industry and a portfolio of Clients ranging from governmental agencies to public utilities, which has resulted in steady growth & expansion of the business. The client has an opportunity for a motivated & technically proficient Principal / Senior Civil Engineer, depending upon experience, who holds a degree in Civil Engineering and is ideally Chartered, with a minimum of 5 years experience. The post will report to the Principal Engineer.

Duties will include project & contract management, supervision of junior engineers, preparation of quotations, client liaison, provision of technical & professional advice, and engineering analyses & calculations (structural, hydraulic & soil mechanics). Experience in the water sector and/or in hydraulic engineering is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ( £50k but this is depending upon experience), a generous benefits package including flexible working.
