Civil Engineer Job in Nottingham

This is an opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join a growing house builder based from their Nottingham office. This house builder currently operates across the Midlands, North of England and Scotland, they have rapid growth plans to expand into new regions throughout the North and Scotland.

As the Civil Engineer in Nottingham you'll be running your own projects and supporting other members in the technical team with their projects. As part of the in-house technical and engineering team you'll be working on all aspects of highways, drainage and sewer design for their developments across the region, from pre-development through to live sites.

Role & Responsibilities

- Work with local authorities and utility providers to ensure all approvals required for site start are ready and available at the appropriate time

- Assist the planning department in obtaining planning permissions and S104 and S38 Agreements

- Prepare outline engineering schematics for Land Appraisals

- Liaise with the commercial team on costings

- Manage site investigations

- Manage external consultants to ensure deadlines are met

Required Skills & Experience

- Degree or similar in Civil Engineering

- Previous experience with volume house building

- Experienced in Highways and Drainage design

- Experienced in using AutoCAD
