We are independent multidisciplinary consultancy with an excellent reputation for providing a high-quality & client-focused service. We currently have an opening for an Associate Engineer - Civil & Structural (Rail) to join their skilled rail team on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance of the civil and structural rail team, ensuring that they meet the overall business objectives, both commercially and technically. This will involve ensuring the appropriate skills and resources within the team to suit workload and ensure compliance with rail industry standards and company quality and management systems. You will also play a key role in company rail bids, supporting the Director.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Rail Sector Director in securing Rail Sector C&S Engineering,
* Assist the UK Director for Civil & Structural Engineering and the Director in promoting the company brand as a market leading engineering consultant,
* Assist the Director - Civil & Structural in managing the London
* Contribute to the development and growth of UKCivil & Structural Engineering Department, actively participating in the Department Management Team Meetings and decision-making,
* Help develop the operation to meet business objectives,
* Ensure team compliance with company management system,
* Help to drive the creation of a wider capability for the company,
* Lead tender preparation for projects of all sizes, including fee estimates,
Requirements:
* A degree in Civil Engineering,
* Chartered Civil Engineer CEng MICE or near Chartered,
* Previous experience operating as a CRE and preferably CEM on UK rail projects,
* Appropriate depth and breadth of experience in rail and construction sector,
* PTS / Sentinel and associated Rail access competencies,
* CSCS Card
