Senior / Principal Civil Engineer

I'm working exclusively with a partner client of mine who holds a national presence in the civil structural consultancy sector. On their behalf, I am looking to recruit a Principal Engineer within the development infrastructure team, to lead the current civils team and report closely with the Associate.

This role will be based in their Derby office, but you have the flexibility of spending up to 3 days at home, as well as flexible hours. This partner client of mine have 4 offices in the UK, with growth plans to get the Civils team in Derby back up to 9 by the end of 2022. The team currently sits at 4 in which you will have responsibility of leading from a technical design point of view.

You as the Principal Engineer will be expected to be a proficient user of MicroDrainage and have extensive experience working on private roads and drainage schemes across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors. You will lead the team from a delivery point of view whilst also having the autonomy to design your own projects, should you get the team from 4 to 7 people next year you will be subject to a review for an Associate position.
The client I am partnered with have a certain goal for this individual, in that within 12 months there is a fantastic opportunity to get yourself on the management team, and take a wider, larger lead stance of the Derby office in whole.
