A Geo-Environmental Engineer opportunity has come available for an award winning, young and forward thinking multi-disciplinary consultancy situated in central Manchester. This will mainly be an office-based position, but with around 40% site works working on a range of major building development schemes throughout the North.
As a Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will be joining a Geo-Environmental/Geotechnical team with a good technical depth alongside the civil and structural teams to deliver projects from inception through to completion.
Your main responsibilities as a Geo-Environmental Engineer will include technical, financial and technical delivery of Geo-Environmental & Geotechnical projects. You will be designing ground investigations whilst processing technical reports on a ground investigation, interpretation, remedial method statements, GQRA, DQRA, coal mining risk assessment as well as quotes and tenders.
The role also offers endless training and development through the internal development system. You will also have the chance to capitalise on your Geotechnical experience not only on site but within the office.
Geo-Environmental Engineer Specification:
Degree in Geology or Environmental Science whilst obtaining an MSc.
At least 1-3 years within a UK Geo-Environmental, contaminated land or Geotechnical consultancy.
Extensive experience of Phase I Desk Study and Phase II ground investigations & reporting.
Strong interpretive report writing skills on a contaminated land, remedial and/or geotechnical basis.
Remedial method statement experience. (ideally)
