Technical Director of Civil Engineering
Our client is looking for a Technical Director to join their Civil Engineering team in Newcastle.
Our client is a multi-disciplinary consultancy with 12 offices throughout the UK, employing approximately 500 staff. Working together with clients, they deliver solutions to challenging problems in Property & Development, Infrastructure & Utilities and Mining & Minerals.
Projects exist across many different sectors of development, including residential, education, and waste sectors.
The role requires a Technical Director to lead a small team of Engineers and drive organic growth through the development of new clients and commissions. The team currently has a wide variety of infrastructure projects including, residential, commercial, industrial, and renewable energy projects.
The role includes:
·Day-to-day management of the Civil Engineering Team
·Client management
·Develop business with existing clients and identify potential new clients
·Project Management of multidisciplinary projects
·Providing updates to the Regional Manager
Requirements of the role:
·Experience in Highway design
·Experience using Civils 3D
·Experience in the use of AutoCAD to produce drawings
·A proven ability to communicate appropriately and effectively
·Experience leading a team and mentoring junior colleagues
