GEO-ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER
Location: Cardiff
Type: Permanent
Salary (£): £25,000 - £32,000 dependent on your experience level

Job Summary:
My client is a leading environmental and engineering consultancy with offices across the UK. They are now looking for a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their expanding team, due to increased workload! You will be joining a dynamic workplace who has won numerous awards, 2021 shortlisted as consultancy of the year & employer of the year. You will not only benefit from your wellbeing being looked after, but also have the chance to work on prestigious and complex projects with a diverse client base.
Requirements:
You must have 2+ years of UK Geo-Environmental consultancy experience to be suited to this role. Please find below some of the tasks you will be carrying out.
What YOU need:
BSc in a relevant subject (geography, geology, civil engineering, environmental science).
Good working knowledge of relevant and up to date British Standards Industry Guidance
Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
A proactive and independent thinker with an enthusiastic approach to work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Your Responsibilities:
Management of ground investigations and logging soils to British standards
Supervision, reporting and management of geo-environmental assignments.
Monitoring of gas and groundwater levels and groundwater sampling.
Liaison with and directing of sub-contractors including drillers, excavator operators and surveyors.
Dealing with clients to assist in the delivery of projects.
Writing factual and interpretive reports, risk assessments, remediation strategies and verification reports.
