About the company

My client is a multi-disciplined, cash-rich, well-known sub-contractor who is currently turning over £75M per annum. They specialise primarily within the water (wastewater and clean water) and infrastructure areas of civil engineering, with offices in North London, Kent, and on the south coast (this role will be based in their North London office).

This position has come about due to continued and strategic ongoing growth but while the business is looking to expand, they are also keen to maintain their family feel atmosphere, where its a fun working environment and everyone, is treated as a name, not a number, with the respect from the directors across the company. This is a contractor I enjoy recruiting for. Over the last 4 and a half years I have placed 3 of their senior managers and all of them are still there and enjoying it.

About the role

Due to the company winning a couple of large projects they are looking for a Project Manager to look after multi-utility, instillation, and diversions within London, dealing with large main contractors and developers. The role will involve taking multi-utility infrastructure schemes from the pre-construction stage through to completion, your duties design management, promoting, enforcing, and adhering to the company's Health & Safety Policies and Procedures as well as providing bid support at the tender stage. The successful candidate will be involved in creating and maintaining programmes of works, assisting and monitoring all commercial aspects of each project, and you will be the company representative at key client and stakeholder meetings.

The successful candidate is in charge of reducing the number of complaints, improving street works performance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, and seeking to continuously improve operational performance.

You will be rewarded with a very competitive salary ranging from £55,000£65,000 + a car allowance on top.

About the requirements

You will need to have had Project Management experience working on multi-utility infrastructure projects for a UK-based, self-delivering utility contractor. On top of this, I am looking for someone technically capable so a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is key as well as having good stability throughout your CV.
