Senior Engineer

The City of Woodinville is recruiting for a Senior Engineer to lead some very big and mission-critical capital projects. This position is open until filled, with the first review of applications early February.  The City is hopeful that the new employee will join the City's team on Tuesday, March 1.

The most qualified candidates will be able to communicate and collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, collect and assemble data, create and decipher technical studies and analyses, conduct engineering designs, support and coordinate permitting.  Overall, this position will have a high degree of independent judgement in resolving technical problems and administering projects in accordance with codes and policies.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary duty of this position is to manage assigned Capital Improvement and Operations and Maintenance Projects. Responsibilities include developing scope of work, performing or directing engineering decisions, managing contracts and consultants, and overseeing expenditures. Requires a high degree of independent judgement and action in planning projects, resolving technical problems, and administering projects within the framework of established policies. Supervises assigned staff; and responds to citizen and contractor inquiries.
