The City of Livingston is seeking an innovative, collaborative and service-oriented professional to serve as its Public Services Director. This is a wonderful opportunity to play a significant role in the leadership of this California community rich in history, culture and diversity.

Under the direction of the City Manager, the Public Service Director plans directs and manages the activities and operations of the department, including the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of more than 39 miles of city streets; sidewalks, building and water, sewer and wastewater systems and equipment; coordinates with other City departments and outside agencies; and provides assistance to the City Council, City Manager and others. The Public Services Director oversees a staff of 29 FTEs, and several budgets that total almost $35 million.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in public administration, business administration, engineering and project/construction management, and five years increasingly responsible professional Public Works experience with at least three years in a public works management or supervisory capacity is preferred.
