ALP Technologies is a profitable renewable engineering energy company based in London, Berlin and New York. We have won numerous awards on research and development projects for technologies to benefit lower income countries covering several different innovative fields and technologies. Our company is designing, prototyping, and testing a state-of-the-art li-ion battery storage system (M-BRIC) that is the smartest and lowest cost in the world for 2 billion people to access renewable energy.

We are a small but fun young company, where everyone shares the same drive to provide electricity to rural areas in low income countries where people need it the most. Our team is looking to hire an innovative, deadline-driven Mechatronics Engineer to join us. The responsibilities include improving existing mechanical systems, developing new product concepts and prototypes, designing and testing mechanical and electronic systems.

Qualifications

Mechatronics engineering background. Keen interest in Electronics and Mechanical design, and 2+ years of experience in a relevant industry.

Knowledge:

• Good electrical and electrical aptitude and knowledge
• Knowledge of electronic and mechanical equipment
• Excellent problem solving and time management skills
• Proficient in 3D CAD modelling
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and creative thinking skills
• Self-motivated and highly organised
• Knowledge of microcontrollers and control systems
• Programming language: C or related software ( desirable )
• Understanding of PCB design and manufacturing ( desirable )
• Experience with Agile and Scrum Management
