General Manager - Water industry & Engineering
Location: Based at Head OfficeChesterfield, Derbyshire. National travel covering the UK & Ireland
Salary: Competitive salary per annum plus bonus, company car/car allowance, pension and healthcare
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Brettex Veolia has an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to join and lead the Brettex business. Brettex Veolia is part of the Veolia group which provides mechanical and electrical maintenance services to water utility companies as well as operational support and optimisation services.
As the General Manager, you will report to the National Services Director and be responsible for leading and developing a specialist team. You will focus on driving growth opportunities, directly influencing business development and commercial activities with large and complex clients.

- Driving engagement, empowerment, growth, training and recognition for employees.
- Promoting the importance of Health & Safety.
- Participating in management reviews and leading incident investigations.
- Keeping abreast of customer developments and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
- Develop and deliver growth plans in conjunction with marketing and business development.
- Promoting the company and building reputation.
- Setting and achieving targets and objectives and demonstrating performance improvements.
- Driving the team and business forward in alignment with Veolia's vision and values.
- Contributing to regional strategic plans and leading regional/UK initiatives.
What are we looking for?
- An experienced Operations/Contracts Manager.
- Good commercial insight.
- An experienced leader of high performing/specialist teams.
- Knowledge and experience of Project/Asset management.
- Experience in driving continuous improvement.
- A relevant degree or professional qualification in Engineering or Science.
- Experience working in the utility/industrial/environmental sector is desirable.
