Principal Structural Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Structural Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary consultancy that has been established for over 45 years. They are an independently owned company with four offices located across the midlands with fantastic surrounding countryside and employ over 25 staff with year-on-year growth in turnover. This role is based in their Milton Keynes office, located just outside of the town in a converted barn, this rural location is perfect for anyone wanting to get away from big city life.
They are looking for someone who can come into this office and make it their own, this is a fairly new office for them so they are looking for an individual who can come in, galvanise a group of young engineers and lead the team. The pathway is there for the right candidate to eventually become a director of the company and be the face of the Milton Keynes office.
You will need to be a personable character with great communication skills as networking and mentoring the younger engineers will be a huge part of your job, bringing through the next generation of talented professionals is something you should be passionate about. With the right leadership this office is ripe for expansion, this is a rare opportunity for a driven engineer to really take this chance and make something of it.
The company works in various sectors; however a lot of the work is existing structures and heritage works, this is something you should have experience in or have a strong interest in. Some recent projects have included high profile historical buildings of significance to their local area, high rise commercial developments and large industrial units for major developers.
