Aqua-Tech Recruitment are working with a leading engineering in the water industry who are looking for a team of Electrical Design Engineers (Senior-Junior) to join their rapidly growing team. The Company is extremely forward thinking and looking to implement a 4-day working week. They have offices in Cumbernauld, Edinburgh and Preston with extremely flexible working arrangements (office/home based).

Job Description

* The Electrical Design Engineer reports directly to the projects Design Manager

* The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of Electrical Engineering designs to agreed budgets and timescales

* The Electrical Design Engineer will produce, check and review technical specifications and schedules

* The Electrical Design Engineer will produce project deliverables in accordance with the requirements laid down by the client

* The Electrical Design Engineer will produce electrical specifications and deliverables for schemes in accordance with current legislation

* The Electrical Design Engineer will liaise with Projects, Proposals and other internal clients and deal efficiently and effectively with any technical queries

* The Electrical Design Engineer will liaise with the clients to reach best understanding and design requirements

* The Electrical Design Engineer must have Control Panel Experience.

* Water industry experience would be advantageous

Person Specification

A broad range of key skills are required, including:

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Preferred), other suitable qualifications in conjunction with experience will be considered

* Experience in the Water industry would be preferred with particular emphasis on Water & Wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, etc

* Excellent organisational skills and report writing experience with experience of relevant standards

* Strong Engineering analytical and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work efficiently in a team environment, and to manage clients

* Good Working knowledge of Safety, Health Environment and Quality Procedures

* Computer literate with a good understanding of appropriate software packages

* Able to integrate well into a team as well as work independently

* Experienced level of decision making and ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands

* Strong communication skills all levels with the client, suppliers, contractors and design team

* Excellent written and oral communications skills

* Exceptional organisational skills

* Must be able to plan and prioritise work load effectively

* Excellent client service focus flexible approach to work

* Able to initiate dialog with wide range of personnel to obtain information and close issues

* Proactive in approach to work
