Our Engineering Division is charged with delivering the 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan and is currently working on a wide variety of projects including: water distribution and treatment facilities, wastewater collection and treatment facilities, pump stations, reservoirs, drainage facilities, parks, airport facilities, streets, bridges, traffic signals, water transmission lines, and urban development projects.

This available Engineering Program Manager position performs full range civil engineering project and program development within the transportation and parks development arena; manages multiple projects and programs with administrative responsibility through design and construction phases; and quality control and assurance over activities managed by engineers at lower levels.  The Engineering Program Manager leads a project team specializing in roadway improvements, traffic signals, street lights, bicycle and pedestrian enhancements, and parks multidisciplinary development projects. Given their direct involvement in projects, technical engineering experience in these areas is paramount given the community-wide impacts of these large capital improvement projects.

What are the minimum qualifications?
* Must pass the pre-employment background check

* Must have an Oregon Driver’s license and meet the City of Salem's driving standards

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or a related field

* Eight years of experience in a related field or any combination of experience and training that demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and abilities as listed, and ability to perform the examples of work.

* Professional Civil Engineer License required.
