Senior Engineer - Geotechnical / Piling

Senior Enginer - Required for our client in their Coventry office as part of a Joint Venture on a geotechnical engineering and piling project for HS2. Our client are looking for a Senior Engineer with experience in the Piling or Ground Engineering Sector to grow the team.

The Senior Engineer will provide that the daily tasks be completed to a high standard by the site and engineering teams and assist the Project Manager to plan, lead, coordinate and manage the activities across multiple sites. A commercial aspect will also be involved in the role so experience with keeping projects in line with budget is essential to the position. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing multiple Engineering and Site team as well as Lead the NCR process.

Senior Enginer Position Overview

• Ensure that site teams comply with health & safety policies
• Preparation of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Task Briefings, ITPs, Lift Plans;
• Requesting resources and liaising with Procurement and Logistics teams;
• Producing delivery schedules and communicating these to Client team;
• Producing accurate site installation records
• Responsible for managing multiple Engineering and Site teams
• Ensure site costs are managed effectively
• investigation, closing out and improvements to prevent future re-occurrence and implementing changes to improve quality.

Senior Enginer Position Requirements

• Rotary bored piling experience
• Hold or working towards Professional Membership. e.g. ICE
• Previous experience of major civil engineering projects
• SSSTS/SMSTS and CPCS Appointed Person for Lifting Operations
• Commercial knowledge of NEC form of Contract
• Fully conversant with requirement of SPERW 3rd Edition
• Experience of working within a Joint Venture is advantageous as is experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator
• Good working knowledge of applicable BS/EN Standards.
• Experience of Slurry Wall, Secant, King Post, CSP, CFA, Guidewalls.

Senior Enginer Position Remuneration

• Salary £38K-£50K
• 26 Days holiday + BH
