About the Company

My client is a multi-disciplined Tier One Main Contractor who specialises in Civil Engineering. They have been trading since the 50's and have generated a superb reputation and are regarded as one of the best UK-based Civil Engineering contractors. They work UK wide and their turnover has rocketed past £1B. The types of works they specialise in involve utilities such as water and power. They also work in the rail industry, highways, energy, and groundworks. I have been recruiting for this company for several years and everyone I deal with is a genuinely nice individual and that filters throughout the whole business. Their high standard of work has seen them become successful on huge projects and frameworks such as HS2, Thames Water, UKPN, and CP6.

About the opportunity:

For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be responsible for several different elements. You will be involved in liaising with a range of project stakeholders from designers, Quantity Surveyors, client Project Managers, and client operations staff. This opportunity will be based in North London on their Thames Water contract. The types of works will involve water treatment plants, pump stations, sewers, pipelines, reservoirs, and drainage.

Other responsibilities will involve maintaining strict quality control procedures and ensuring compliance with all environmental and Health and Safety legislation and policies. The types of projects that they have worked on have ranged up to the value of £30M.

About the benefits and rewards:

My Client makes personal development, career progression, and long-term stability a priority. The successful professional will be working for a company that encourages internal promotion and want to see employees progress through the company. You will also be part of a fun and energetic working environment where they are motivated to do well.

About the requirements:

You are required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND, HNC, or equivalent qualification) in either Construction, Civils, Commercial Management, or Quantity Surveying.

To be considered for this position, you should have experience working as a Site Manager or a Site Agent for a UK-based water infrastructure contractor. Your work history should be stable, having worked at your previous companies for a number of years.
