My client is a multi-disciplined, award-winning, tier one main contractor, turning over £500M + per annum. They are known worldwide and have been for nearly 150 years. The reason they are known worldwide is because of their technical capabilities and brilliant standard of work across the water industry (infrastructure & non-infrastructure), highways infrastructure, environmental projects as well as commercial construction. My client has several in-house capabilities such as design, delivery, and commercial management.
About the opportunity
My client was selected as a tier-one contractor for Thames Water AMP7 working specifically within the M4 corridor. They have 4 years left on their framework which is worth £160M, the schemes will be infrastructure, mechanical and electrical (within clean water & Wastewater) and they will be ranging in value from £3M - £10M. As well as working on a great variety of schemes you will also have a great leadership team on top of you, a leadership team with a great amount of experience within Civil Engineering, working for some brilliant companies within the UK Civil Engineering industry, allowing you to learn from some of the best.
Your day to day role will involve resource allocation and management of site staff, making sure delivery of works are complaining of company health and safety systems, management of projects and contracts as well as reporting directly into the Project Management and giving them updates on program and the budget of the project.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary ranging between £45,000 - £55,000 + a car allowance, 26 days annual leave + bank holidays on top (options to buy and sell 3 per year). About the requirements
It is essential you have a degree in either construction management or civil engineering. I am also looking for strong stability throughout your career, e.g., at least 2 years per company. Finally, it is important you have at least 5 years of experience working on Civil Engineering projects for UK-based contractors.
