As a Civil Site Setting Out Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing day to day site engineer operational tasks to ensure construction is conducted in a safe manner, within budget, on schedule and in accordance with the appropriate standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Setting out of all drainage, earthworks, foundations, utilities etc.
- Carrying out regular inspections to monitor performance and ensure health & safety compliance throughout the construction process.
- Maintaining site diary.
- Managing labour, plant, and materials on site in conjunction with the Foreman.
- Assisting Management.
- Managing subcontractors and direct labour.
- Reporting regularly on all construction activities including budget, scheduling, personnel, and other resource requirements.
- Assisting the estimating team in the preparation of the project estimate or cost plans.
- Contributing to work planning, and briefing project teams, contractors, and suppliers.
- Full handover of projects.
- Civil Engineering background in the Construction/Water/Infrastructure/Renewables/Utilities industry.
- Experienced in setting out isa must, GPS.
- Experience of working in Design & Build projects.
- Thorough understanding of safety, environmental and quality management processes.
- Good understanding of commercial, contractual and procurement processes.
- Good knowledge of temporary works.
- Experience of both incident and near miss reporting and good safety awareness.
- Good IT Skills.
- Excellent communication skills and interaction with other team members.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Must hold a valid CSCS card.
