Job Details

The Department of Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering (CECE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) has an opening for a two-year, non-tenure earning, visiting instructor or lecturer position. This position is anticipated to begin in August 2022. 

The primary responsibility of the position is teaching undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering, including core engineering science (e.g., Statics and Fluid Mechanics) and introductory courses (e.g., Introduction to the Construction Industry). Secondary responsibilities include assessment related activities, service to the department, and may include teaching graduate courses (for lecturer position) in the area of degree specialty, as necessary.

With more than 1,200 undergraduate and 250 graduate students, the CECE Department offers doctoral and master’s programs in Civil and Environmental Engineering, and ABET-accredited bachelor’s programs in Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering. Over 33 tenured/tenure-track faculty members and 3 lecturers conduct the instructional and research activities, in addition to a vibrant community of adjunct faculty.
