The City of Boise is currently recruiting for two Engineers to work in our Development Information Services (DIS) and Sewer Engineering Divisions. Based on the skills and qualifications of the successful candidate, we can place the new employee at either the EIT (Engineer In Training) Civil Engineer or Engineer I Level.

EIT Civil Engineer:
Performs project management, engineering and developer/building plan review, and resolves routine and moderately complex problems of engineering assignments requiring application of engineering theories. The successful candidate will manage intermediate to moderately complex projects from inception to completion. Work is performed under the guidance of a professional engineer and requires independent judgment and initiative.
Engineer I:
Manages routine engineering projects and analysis related to planning, design and construction management for a variety of water renewal (wastewater treatment), drainage, geothermal and building facility projects. Serves as engineer of record and/or project manager on routine projects. Provides engineering expertise and technical assistance to operations staff to achieve optimum operability of facilities and equipment. Work is performed under the supervision of an assistant city engineer or engineer II and requires independent judgment and initiative.
Pay Ranges:
- EIT Civil Engineer- $58,000-$65,000 annually
- Engineer I- $65,000-$73,000 annually
