Civil Engineering Designer

Due to continued growth and a number of new projects, Stopford have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineering Designer to join the Projects Group on a full-time, permanent basis. As Civil Engineering Designer you will be responsible for:

• Preparation and issuing of drawings
• Production of general arrangement drawings
• Detailing of structural steelwork and concrete

The Position of Civil Engineering Designer

As a Civil Engineering Designer, responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and issuing of drawings in line with project schedule and in accordance with Stopford SOPs.
• Production of general arrangement drawings.
• Detailing of structural steelwork and concrete, including reinforced concrete detailing and scheduling.
• Checking of drawings/models in accordance with standard practice and client requirements.
• Coordination with other engineering disciplines as and when required.
• Attendance at site surveys.

To be successful in the role of Civil Engineering Designer you will:

• Ideally be educated to degree level
• Must possess a minimum of HNC in Civil and Structural Engineering.
• Have an excellent understanding of building structures and structural/civil engineering
• Have experience of working in a design and engineering environment and be fully competent with AutoCAD to the most current version.
• Experience in the petrochemicals, chemicals or renewable energy industries and experience with Navisworks and 3D point cloud survey are advantageous.
