Civil Engineer

The City of Bristol Tennessee is accepting applications for:  Civil Engineer

Under limited direction of the Director of Engineering, the Civil Engineer reviews and coordinates development activities, administers the City’s Qualifying Local Program, inspects storm water control measures, assists with the City’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer system, performs field inspections, and prepares cost estimates.  Must comply with all Engineering City/State/Federal codes and regulations.  Requirements include Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 3+ years’ technical experience in Engineering, Engineer Intern Cert or ability to obtain in 1 year, experience using civil engineering instruments/equipment, excellent computer and communication skills. Must have or obtain certification in Tennessee’s Level 1 and 2 Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Training Program. Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
