Parks & Public Works Director
Nestled at the base of the Sierra Azules in Santa Clara County, the Town of Los Gatos (pop. 33,000) is known for its outstanding quality of life and unique small-town community charm while being closely tied to the Silicon Valley and its fast-paced economy. The Parks & Public Works Department constructs and maintains the Town’s public parks, facilities, roadways, rights-of-way, and other infrastructure. The Director reports to the Town Manager and is supported by 33.75 FTE.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader and mentor who is capable of inspiring their team to consistently produce excellence in service and results. Highly qualified candidates will have a deep understanding of the administrative and operational functions associated with parks, public works, and the effective management of construction projects. This position requires progressive responsible experience in parks and/or public works and managerial background in local government. A Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree desirable.
