Serve as a Cost Engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District.  The position is open to Civil Engineers and Civil Engineer Techs and will be filled at the GS-11 or GS-12 levels.  Responsibilities of the job would be to develop cost estimates and cost analyses; calculate quantities off of established designs; review cost estimates from A/E firms and from Value Engineering studies; recommend suggestions to maximize economic benefits, constructability, biddability, and operability; determine job site characteristics that affect costs, and prepare Independent Government Estimates
