An established engineering consultancy based in Carmarthenshire is currently on the lookout for an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. It's a really exciting time to be joining the business as they are incredibly busy and going through a period of growth and they are looking for an ambitious 'go-getter' to join them on this journey…

You will be joining an experienced team of civil engineers, having a main focus on drainage design/ SUDS and external works including car parks and minor roads. We are looking for candidates with strong business development skills, interested in not only maintaining existing business relationships but not afraid to get out there and build rapports with new clients.

As well as a competitive basic salary, there is a bonus structure in place based on yearly profit. The office is friendly and relaxed and they are advocates of a healthy work/ life balance. They are looking for someone to head into the office a minimum of 1 day per week.

Key skills/ qualifications for this Civil Design Engineer role:

• Relevant civil/ structural engineering degree (or equivalent)
• You will have already gained a minimum of 4 years' experience in a consultancy environment ideally within the residential sector
• You will be comfortable in the use of Civil software for drainage design
• You must also have strong communication skills and be eager and willing to learn
• Be experienced preparing tenders
• Be experience with business development and ideally have proven experience of winning new business - this is a key requirement of the role

As you would only be required to attend the office once a week, we are considering candidates from further afield. Commutable locations include:
