Field Service Engineer - Water Equipment

Field Service Engineer required for a manufacturer of water equipment based in Irlam, Manchester. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have experience in a similar role in a similar industry.

Field Service Engineer - Water Equipment Position Overview

Working in-house and on-site at customer premises (requiring regular overnight stays)

Offering technical advice and answering customer queries
Carrying out regular preventative maintenance, breakdown servicing and commissioning of our Wastewater Samplers, both in house and on client sites
Performing diagnostic checks on any malfunctioning or damaged units
Carrying out basic electrical safety testing of serviced / maintained equipment
Completing and submitting Maintaining / Service paperwork
Provide basic training to customers on product use when required
Carrying out routine service vehicle checks, maintenance and cleaning
Monitoring departmental / vehicle stock levels
Adhering to company safety protocols - PPE, COSHH, etc.
Presenting department development ideas

Field Service Engineer - Water Equipment Position Requirements

Experience of working in an SME manufacturing / service environment

Experienced Field Service Engineer working with electro-mechanical equipment
Flexible and able to work away from home including regular overnight stays
Able to work autonomously or as part of a team
Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate on all levels both face to face and over the phone
Minimum City & Guilds approved 'Basic Electrical Essentials' Certification
Good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace - Ideally IOSH qualified
Working with ISO 9001 & 14001 Standards
Current 'Safety Passport' Certification would be preferable
Current 'Emergency First Aid at Work' certification would be preferable
Must have full UK Driving License, ideally with a clean (any points must be advised)

Field Service Engineer - Water Equipment Position Remuneration

Hours - Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00 (1 hour lunch) Friday 08:30 to 16:30pm (1/2 hour lunch, 1/2 hour at end of day) Plus additional hours as the role requires Contract - Permanent (with initial 3 month probation period) Location - Based in Irlam, Manchester
