Electrical Commissioning Engineer with experience of commissioning clean/potable water systems.

Our client can consider either a Contractor (outside IR35) or Permanent staff, they offer a highly comeptative salary with company vehicle, expenses, pension etc. The client will pay the contractors accommodation and travel.

The post holder will ensure that all commissioning related works for each project are delivered in line with the project programme and in accordance with project specifications. They will ensure that all compliance requirements (permits, RAMS, licences etc) are in place prior to commissioning, and that the site commissioning activities are managed on a daily basis to ensure audit readiness.

Reporting to the Commissioning Manager you will be expected to provide a flexible approach to resourcing all commissioning requirements on various projects across Scotland.

Key responsibilities, duties and tasks:

* To support the project team by developing commissioning plans, site commissioning files, methodologies, programmes, method statements and risk assessments

* Attend FAT activities and provide constructive input with regard to system controls.

* Carry out commissioning of Electrcial, instrumentation and control systems including MCC's and associated field equipment

* Complete SAT and Asset Start-up

* Complete site commissioning documentation

* Review Subcontractor documentation including RAMS, commissioning documents and technical submissions

* Participate in HAZCOMM activities for various projects as required.

* Ensure that safe systems of work are adhered to at all times

* Liaise with, co-ordinate and supervise sub-contractors

* Liaise with the Client and deliver concise and accurate project updates

* Generate and deliver training packages to Client

Essential:

* Electrical/Instrumentation HND/HNC or equivalent

* Proven Mechanical & Electrical experience - preferably 5 years full commissioning phase experience (installation, dry, wet, process testing)

* Experience of iMCC's including VSD's, Softstarts and Flow, Level, Pressure and Temperature instrumentation

* An understanding of clean and waste water treatment processes including chemical dosing systems

* Experience in executing pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for clean and waste water projects on both new build and retrofit sites.

* Experience in FAT and SAT testing

* Experience in telemetry end to end testing

* Profibus Installation and Commissioning Certification

* Experience with Microsoft Office software

* Good technical, communication and organisational skills

* Flexibility for location of work and out of hours working as required by the Company

* Clean Driving Licence

* SSTS 2 day or SMSTS 5 day

* First Aid at Work - 1 or 3 day

* MSRA Training

* CSCS card

* DOMS

* NW Hygiene

* Manual Handling
