Principal Structural Engineer

Our client is a leading global design and engineering consultancy with a passion for the sustainable design and delivery of a wide range of buildings projects where their aim is to improve the quality of life in cities across the world.

They have asked us to help them find a Principal Structural Engineer who shares their values and is committed to delivering exceptional and sustainable outcomes for their clients. The successful candidate will join the structures team in their London office on a full time, permanent basis however there is also the opportunity for this role to be carried out on a full time remote working basis.

Responsibilities:

Implement and supervise project structural analysis, design and digital modelling,
Implement and supervise the preparation of design models, calculations and reports,
Compliance with company procedures to produce safe, sustainable, innovative technical work guided by your Principal Engineers and Structures team Directors,
To learn quickly from your technical peers and brief/lead small structural teams,
Work and communicate proactively within project teams and with other design discipline peers ((e.g. geotech, hydraulic, M&E, environment etc) to positively influence success of the structural inputs and project as a whole,
For the structural demands of a project input to bidding, assessment and control of budget, timescales and risk evaluation. Requirements:

An honours degree in Civil or structural engineering,
A Chartered Engineer with ICE or IStructE,
A minimum of 7 years' relevant experience,
Structural analysis and design skills in several materials to Eurocodes,
Experience with ROBOT, TEDDS, Masterseries or similar structural software,
Experience and capability with 3D digital software (REVIT, Navisworks or similar),
Design experience of civil engineering structures, buildings and the soil/structure interface,
Experience in design teams and managing inputs from technicians and juniors in small teams.This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Senior/Principal Structural Engineer to take the next step in their career.
