A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy are now recruiting for an experienced Senior Geo Environmental Engineer/Environmental Consultant to join their team in Leeds. The successful applicant will join a dynamic team and support a variety of commercial land redevelopment projects in Northern England.
Applicants are expected to have a strong academic background, preferred qualifications include BSc Geology, Geoscience or Geochemistry, ideally with MSc Environmental Engineering, Contaminated Land or Engineering Geology. In addition to this, applicants must demonstrate site based experience relating to the management of contaminated land.
Experience, skills required:
Site investigation set up and supervision
Knowledge of UK Geology and sample logging using current UK industry guidelines and standards
Strong understanding of current contaminated land regulatory and legislative framework
Conceptual model interpretation and site investigation design
Experience preparing detailed factual and interpretative Phase I and 2 assessments
Project management expertise
Client liaison and team leadership experienceThe role will consist of a mixture of site and office work. Applicants must be comfortable with travel to other UK locations from time to time.
