Stores Manager - Civil Engineering
Location: Ilkeston
Our client specialises in the fabrication and installation of high-pressure pipework systems from low to high alloy steels for the gas, oil, petrochemical, and water industries. They provide several services including, welding, pipelines, gas, fabrication, Civils, Epoxy sleeves and plant.
They are seeking an experienced Store Manager to join their team.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Check physical goods (qty) against delivery note (qty) to ensure match.
* Ensure goods are in good condition
* Highlight anomalies to Purchasing immediately
* Manage supplier deliveries effectively, by allocating dates and timeslots
* Responsible for stock rotation
* Ensure that Stores area is clean and tidy at all times
* Ensure goods are stored in correct areas - fast moving easily accessible
* Monitoring levels, and advising Purchasing when stocks are low - MSL
* Housekeeping to maintain Stores area to a safe and clean standard
Experience and Requirements
* Previous experience as a Stores Manager within a relevant sector in the Construction industry (Utilities, Mechanical, Civil Engineering
* Health and Safety awareness essential
* Self-motivated, ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
* Good level of fitness
* IT Literate - Excel
