Are you an experienced EICA Commissioning engineer with control system experience in the water sector?

Do you have an electrical background with sound knowledge of control system installation and commissioning?

My client is looking to fill a position which will see the successful candidate come into a large tier 1 contractor for Scottish Water. The role would suit someone with an electrical bias with PLC/SCADA experience.

This position will require a combination of PLC/SCADA and commissioning experience, you will have PLC Knowledge of Siemens S7 / TIA / WinCC and PLC migration project experience.

This contract is eligible for outside IR35 engagement, You will be expected to work independently at times at multiple locations in a vast area of central Scotland.

You MUST have water sector experience to be considered for this position.

The below has more insight into what the ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience doing

·To ensure the project scope is adequately defined and optimal strategy selected for migration to minimise risk to customer supply.
·Support projects that are concerned with replacement of obsolete C&I systems / equipment or development of new systems, in particular control / PLC systems.
·Oversee installation of electrical/PLC/SCADA equipment.
·Undertake a technical review of design deliverables.
·To ensure Systems Integration contractor is focused on deliverables in order to support project milestones on time and on budget and to the correct technical standard.
·To ensure technical risks of projects are identified clearly and communicated to the project manager and other stakeholders.
·To review technical blockers and liaise with all stakeholders on projects to consolidate technical solutions from technical expertise to remove blockers
·To produce project migration and commissioning plans and ensure the delivery schedule contains the necessary activities and sequence of execution to optimise delivery of project.
·To review the proposed technical solutions and ensure compliance with the customer specification.
·To maintain record for all technical issues and implemented solutions during the project software delivery cycle to support Lessons Learned.
·Basic understanding of process safety, fault analysis and reliability assessments.
·To contribute to project reviews with technical inputs and strategies.
·Take a leading role in development of Commissioning plans and HAZCOMM meetings.
·To identify issues early and escalate to the project manager to agree mitigation measures.
Engagement with Customer Commissioning Liaison Engineering team will be a core part of the role.
