Two Senior Planning Engineers with experience of working on major civil engineering projects, within a main contractor environment, required to support the delivery of a design and build infrastructure project in the West Midlands.

Working closely with the planning and engineering team the Senior Planning Engineers will be responsible for:

Develop detail within a programme, and coach/support others
Resource and cost load programmes
Update and monitor progress within the working programme, and coach/support others
Introduce and analyse change in a programme
Undertake checks for programme robustness
Produce and communicate programme information in a variety of forms, using routine and bespoke programme outputs
Coach and mentor others in the use of planning software, principally P6
Advise on the use and application of short-term programmes, and coach/support others
Undertake analytical assessment of programmes
Evaluate supply chain programmes
Establish and maintain internal and external project controls reporting
Assimilate and interpret information from tender documentation
Contribute to tender written submission
Communicate and transfer tender knowledge to project team
Develop and maintain a 4D programme
Maintain awareness of latest construction techniques
Collect and distribute feedback, and coach/support others
Develop and maintain effective working relationships
Comply with business procedures and systems
Working under supervision
Introduce & evaluate risk in programmes
Develop the content and structure of a tender programme
Carry out any other relevant duties as required
To be considered for the role candidates must have:

Expert-level user of industry standard Planning software - P6, MSP, ASTA
Experience of working on major civil engineering projects, highways would be desirable but not essential
Ideally a member of a relevant professional body with chartered status and/or educated to degree level
A demonstrable contractual understanding, particularly of the NEC form of contract.
Able to coach and challenge management and non-specialists.
Experience in producing meaningful outputs to gauge project / programme status and look-aheads for non-Planners
