General Description
- Support environmental activities regarding the environmental and archaeological licensing processes of wind farms, solar farms, substation, and transmission lines in all stages of development (development, construction, and operation).
- Ensure that good social and environmental procedures are adhered to across all sectors of activity.
Responsibilities
- Support the Environmental Manager in the contracting and management of service providers undertaking Environmental Studies, Environmental Monitoring for construction and operation and Social Responsibility Projects.
- Monitor and follow-up environmental licensing processes of projects to obtain environmental permits (Previous License, Installation License, Operation License, and others).
- Review environmental studies before filling to environmental agencies.
- Conduct periodic visits to projects under development and/or construction and/or operation to guarantee environmental quality and maintain constant dialogue with O&M team, Construction team, local community leaders and public authorities.
- Follow up Environmental Licenses (LP, LI, LO, ASV and others) and its constraints, to ensure all constrains, deadlines and actions are undertaken.
- Support the Environmental Manager with the review of environmental and archaeological documentation and management of contractors responsible for those activities.
- Support the Environmental Manager to ensure accurate and updated information regarding the pipeline.
- Support the Environmental Manager in ISO 14.001 environmental management system (and its continued compliance and evolution).
Requirements
- Graduate in Environmental Management, Biology, Geography, Environmental Engineering.
- Post-Graduation in Environmental Management or Renewable Energy is desirable.
- 5 years of experience in a similar role within the renewable energy industry.
- Flexibility to undertake domestic and international travels as required.
- Great verbal and written English, and/or Spanish would be desirable.
- Experience with wind farm, solar farm, substation, and transmission line archaeological licensing.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of environmental issues, processes, and impacts, particularly linked to wind and solar farms.
- Knowledge of Environmental Management System - ISO 14.001.
- Strong organisational skills.
- IT Skills: Google Earth, Global Mapper, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Auto-CAD.
