Principal Civil Design Engineer

Ipswich

Salary : £50k (Depends On Experience)

This multi-disciplined consultancy are on the lookout for a Principal Civil Engineer to join their team in their offices in Ipswich.

The company is 200 strong across their two offices in Matlock and Ipswich. As the engineer you will be joining the civil and structural division which comprise of 20 people in Ipswich.

Principal Civil Engineer Role:

- To plan, design and manage civil & structural design projects.

- Liaise with Architects and other professional staff as directed in developing designs.

- Create engineering drawings and models using CAD packages.

- Undertake engineering calculations by hand and using software.

- Prepare building regulations and undertaker submissions.

- Prepare technical reports.

- Asses the environmental impact and risks connected

BIM Role and Responsibilities:

- Maintain and receive information into the information model.

- Configure information for project outputs.

- Populate the information exchange format for the information model.

- Production of design outputs related to a discipline specific, package based or time-based task
