Location: Watford (flexible hours and hybrid working, full time, permanent position))

On behalf of our client, we are recruiting Civil Engineers and Structural Engineers based in their Watford office. Your role will be instrumental to ensuring that materials, products and processes that are tested, inspected and certified are safe and fit for purpose.

As a Civil Engineer or Structural Engineer you will have an academic background or experience within structural or civil engineering and be looking to further enhance your experience as an Engineer through technical work that you complete for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare robust technical engineering reports

* Review audit reports, sampling reports, contract reviews etc., for technical compliance; approve documents for certification if they meet the relevant Technical Schedule's requirements/standards

* Provide technical advice

* Respond to enquiries relating to Technical / Certification matters

* Plan test programmes in liaison with clients and the relevant testing department internally

Skills:

* Educated to degree level, ideally with a degree in structural, civil or mechanical engineering

* Experience in Product development: Building envelope

* Experience in Construction industry: Materials (steel, concrete, timber) Design, warranty company, Building control, Product testing, fire engineering

* Keen interest in all aspects of safety

* Methodical and highly organised

* Able to prioritise own workload

* Strong written & verbal communication skills

* Excellent numeracy skills and strong attention to detail
