Civil Engineering Advisor

Platform Resourcing are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand their team by taking on a Civil Engineering Advisor in Cardiff.

The successful candidate will be technically minded, being fully capable of reading, understanding, and producing in depth technical documentation and CAD drawings. They will also have strong communication skills with excellent customer service skills, being able to provide strong technical support and assistance to customers. A recent Mechanical Engineering graduate with a passion for design would be ideal for this role.

Civil Engineering Advisor Benefits:

• Salary of up £25,000
• Yearly bonus up to 10% of annual salary based on company performance (£2,500 for this position paid every December)

Civil Engineering Advisor Duties and Responsibilities

• Liaising with customers over the phone and via email, providing excellent service at all times
• Provide customers with technical advice and solutions to design related problems
• Read and understand technical documents and drawings, able to form in depth discussions around these to provide suggestions and answer queries
• Assisting in preparation and filing of standard technical documents and CAD drawings
• Technical approval of drawing submittals
• Creation of technical documents and drawings for internal and customer use, considering any specifications or requirements and taking these into consideration
• Conduct in depth calculations regarding products required for use
• Identify and calculate the qualification of the suitability of products for use
• Obtain customer feedback and utilise this information to form and develop new ideas for service and product improvements

Civil Engineering Advisor Essential Experience/Qualifications

• Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or construction environment
• Mechanical/Design Engineering Qualification
• Ability to read, understand and product technical documents and CAD drawings
• Good customer service skills and strong communication
• Able to build relationships with customers
• T. Literate
