Hydraulic and Drainage Design Manager, Ferrovial Construction US Corp., Austin, TX. Direct engineering activities for the Hydraulic Department. Provide technical advice to the team dedicated to developing hydraulic and hydrology engineering projects and studies for roadways and railways. Design, develop and implement construction schedule and budget. Manage the field of computational fluid dynamics. Manage engineering activities, including flood studies, drainage, and storm water management. Establish normative, drainage criteria, design and safety specifications for projects. Lead a team of engineers to manage all the work related to drainage matters, including flooding risk and storm water management in projects.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Civil Engineering or a related field and seven (7) years of post-bachelor work experience as a Hydraulic and Drainage Design Manager or related.
Must have seven (7) years of experience with/in:
- Practical drainage design experience inside large civil infrastructure construction contracts with budgets over $500 Million USD;
- Using the following software programs and tools to develop hydraulic designs: MicroStation, Openflow, StormCad, SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, DAMBRK, HYDRAULIC TOOLBOX and MIKE URBAN; and
- Representing a hydraulic team in cross-functional project meetings that involve production and design teams.
