Senior Civil Engineer

We are currently working with one of the UK's leading contractors, recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer, responsible for delivering the geotechnical works required along approximately 90km of works. The works comprises extensive geotechnical works including Diaphragm Walls, Secant/ contiguous structures, Plunge Columns, Tension Piles, Ground Anchors, Soil Nails and Ground Improvement, Piled bridges and viaducts.

To be successful in this position, ideally you will have worked within a similar position and hold a Civil Engineering degree, or similar/equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

* Co-ordinate planned works with internal and external stakeholders

* Prepare site documentation for site team and communicate deliverables to the site supervisor. On complex or large projects attend site as required and directed by the project manager or senior contracts.

* Monitor the site works in accordance with the specification, the customers deliverables and our targets. Report and manage the close out of any non-conformities that may arise.

* Ensure all site paperwork is comprehensive, neat and tidy. Review site records on a weekly basis to ensure compliance with deliverables and contract. Report and manage the close out of any non-conformities that may arise.

* Responsible for recording all changes to project deliverables with the customer ensuring involvement with the commercial department.

* Ensure that all the project delivery team comply with the SB3 Business Management System through support and audit.

* Ensures a relentless focus on Zero Harm.

What we're looking for:

* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels across the organisation and externally.

* Strong computer skills - focused on Excel / Word / PowerPoint

* Minimum 6 months experience in a practical engineering or technical role.
