Structural Engineer

Due to consistent growth and a healthy workload, our client who is an Award-winning partnership with multiple offices throughout the UK is looking for a Structural Engineer to help support their Plymouth team. They pride themselves on the quality of service they deliver from the top down and are proud to have professional and friendly teams.

They are looking for an ambitious individual who can be a strong technical lead on a variety of different projects both big and small. You will lead and liaise with other members of the design team on projects and ensure that quality and consistency is maintained across the board on drawings and reports etc. You will be capable of achieving a coordinated design solution which fully meets each client's individual objectives. You will be working with steel, concrete, masonry and timber materials. You will be assessing and inspecting both new and used properties constructed of these materials and expected to produce high-quality technical reports & structural surveys. Analysis and design will be carried out using software packages such as Fastrak Building Designer and TEKLA Structural Designer. Our ideal candidate will be Chartered or very close to it.

You will already possess a Bachelors or Master's degree in Structural Engineering. You will have a full clean driving license and plenty of experience including structural analysis design and use of the software. You will be familiar with all the common forms of construction and building types and also using Euro codes. You will have at least 8 years' experience as a Structural Engineer.
