Structural Design Engineer & Outfit Engineer / Mechanical Design
Location: Fully Remote
Hourly Rate £34.00 - £42.00
SDS - Inside IR35
Length of Contracts: 6 18 months
Hours per week: 40 45
The Role of the Structural Design & Outfit Engineers
From a fully remote location, you will be deployed onto a large naval design project and tasked with supporting on bespoke compartment design for a fleet of carriers. This is a long-term contract requirement and could be 18 + months in duration.
Your main duty will be the design of both 2D & 3D CAD Models to support a full design cycle, including 3D structural and compartment models comprising primary, secondary and tertiary (outfitting) steelwork.
Experience Required for the role as the Structural / Outfit Engineers
To be selected for interview for the Structural Design / Outfitting work its essential that you have experience in the following areas:
Industry Experience: Previous design work on shipbuilding / aircraft carriers
Experience in Design for Manufacture within a marine build
CAD system design work both in 3D & 2D
Additional Information
Prior to commencing a contract on this project, you will be required to obtain security clearance bycompleting a BPSS check in which the employer would arrange.
