Structural Design Engineer

An Edinburgh based Engineering Consultancy specialising in bespoke building structures is looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join their team.

Many Structural Engineers we speak to feel frustrated by the lack of technical challenge in their work. With clients favouring pace and simplicity, many design offices have adopted a 'production line' model which, whilst efficient and profitable, can often leave their engineers feeling disengaged over time. For some good Structural Engineers, it has even led them to question their purpose within the industry.

We are recruiting on behalf an employer who take different approach - they view each commission as it's own, distinct challenge.

They are looking for a passionate Structural Design Engineer with the ability to think independently and bring individualised engineering solutions to often complex structural designs.

As a business, they house a small team of intelligent, passionate Structural Engineers fully engaged in what they do. Delivering high-quality solutions to their clients is their sole focus. Projects can range widely in nature and value but will almost always require well-considered bespoke structural engineering solutions.

You will, of course, need to be a degree qualified Civil / Structural Engineer and you will need to have some demonstrable experience in building structures design within an engineering consultancy environment.
