To support our growing operations and customer base, we are looking to recruit an experienced and talented Senior Energy Engineer who can contribute to Cotopaxi's continued success and growth.

Qualifications: Essential: - Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Bachelor Degree

(2:1 grade or above). PE or Chartered Engineer

Desirable: - Post Graduate Certificate in Energy Management or Environmental Sustainability, Member of a reputable institute (e.g. IMechE)

Experience/Profile: At least 5 years post graduate work experience of utility or facility management, energy management, sustainability/net zero programme development, process optimisation or process engineering. An in depth and proven knowledge of industrial boilers, steam systems, compressed air, power generation, CHP, heat recovery, water recycling, HVAC, refrigeration and renewable technologies is required. An interest in Climate Change, Energy Management and Sustainability is essential. Facilities experience and process knowledge in one or more of the following sectors is required: general food & beverage, brewing, distilling, chemical process and FMCG.

Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK. A reasonable amount of UK and international travel will be required, so we request that candidates hold a valid passport.

Driving License: A full, clean UK driving license essential, own car desirable

Role: Managing international multi-site sustainability and energy reduction programmes. The identification, conceptual engineering and analysis of energy efficiency projects in large industrial sites are essential tasks. Focusing specifically on the utility conversion process, industrial boilers, steam systems, compressed air, power generation, CHP, heat recovery, water recycling, HVAC, refrigeration and renewable technologies.

· Utility Audits

· Project Management / Customer Interaction

Primary Responsibilities:
  • To manage and co-ordinate a major energy reduction programme
  • To provide technical input to projects and support the achievement of deliverables to time and to budget
  • To manage data flow from clients to ensure delivery on time and within agreed budget.
  • To provide technical support to a range of projects across the key areas of focus set out above.
  • To work with other staff and collaborating companies/sub-consultants to ensure progress of projects and timely delivery of agreed outputs
  • To support the preparation of proposals for new projects.
  • To provide progress reports and updates to operations management and on project delivery to project managers.


  • Role Context:
    • Operate from home and the UK offices
    • Work with our existing team of Engineers in the UK, USA, India, Australia & China
    • Work on projects from the office and client premises (located throughout the UK, Europe, USA, Africa and Asia)
    • Requirement to travel both domestically and internationally


    Performance Expectations:

    The objectives for the post will be to achieve the following work profile:

    • Project Fee Work 60% of time
    • Business Development 30% of time
    • Administration 5% of time
    • Training & Development 5% of time
    • Value of Projects Managed £ 400,000


    Development:

    The post offers the opportunity to develop skills and experience in order to move onto a wider field of project activity and in time to move on to higher staff grades. A personal mentor and a structured development programme will be provided.
