Your new role, what's involved?

Day to day project management in the delivery of concept studies and strategies with hands on design, leading to planning applications or construction drawing issue
Taking financial responsibility for your projects and being responsible for ensuring your projects are delivered to budget, programme and technical standards
Working on a number of projects and client accounts, liaising with clients at a local and national level
Direct line management, including mentoring and managing early career professionals ensuring technical excellence is in everything we deliver
Assisting in the preparation of fee proposals, and involvement in business development activities

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

You will preferably hold a civil engineering degree and either be Chartered or approaching Chartered status with experience in highway and highway drainage design
The ability to produce masterplans, site appraisals, write reports to support planning applications, design calculations and construction drawing
A solid engineering foundation and an understanding of highway design and highway drainage principles (layout, etc.)
Experience in the design of highways using Civils 3D or PDS (or similar software packages) together with experience in applying Highways England/DMRB and Local Authority design guidance
The ability to work effectively with colleagues including more senior and junior staff in producing designs, drawings and reports is essential
Experience in design of drainage using MicroDrainage and background in Water Company related work inclusive of the relevant design codes such as Sewers for Adoption, DMRB and Local Authority Design Guides, to be well versed in the preparation of drawings for Contract Documents and S21 and S56 Agreements and requisite technical agreements
The ability to prepare designs for highway schemes including associated highway drainage
